6 How long have you known Hank and Katherine?
this is a very existential question for me, which makes it hard to answer... but if you want a literal answer, I've known myself since before I was born, and Hank since August of 1998.

7 What do you want from us?

I want Hank to continue to be my inspiration in life. I want to be a more whole and happy person, who contributes to the betterment of the world.

8 What have you been up to this past year (please be as detailed as possible, because we actually want to know)?

Same old, same old, loving being married to Hank, with some extra fun thrown in there with visits to family back east, at the weddings of dear grad school friends, and an awesome get-together in Illinois with dear college friends. Being peripherally VERY interested in Brotherhood 2.0. Gaining 10 pounds somehow (crap). Learning more about myself and coming to grips with who I am. Reading so many good books and finding great new music to love. Bangs. I'll always know that I'm looking at pictures from 2007 if I have bangs in them. Not sure how much longer those are gonna hang around though - they're getting annoying.

9 How much longer do you think you'll be doing what you're doing?

Oh forever, I imagine. Grad school only until May, though. Seriously, this is it. Lovin' Hank for the rest of my life.

10 Why are you doing it?

Excellent question. I have this need to finish things I've started. Even if doing so is terrifying to me. Reading and music because they make me happy.

11 What do you want to be doing?

Dancing and singing for a living. But I don't think I've got the skillz.

12 What's next in your life?

Moving back East? Getting a job, hopefully, or maybe getting a vet tech degree? Whatever the next thing turns out to be. It's hard to follow your passion when you aren't sure what it is...

13 If you could have a mad scientist genetically engineer you a new species of animal...what would it be?

There are plenty of amazing animals already, thanks to the wonders of evolution, but I can't help but want Pegasus to be real. A flying horse would be fantastic, especially if it were some ridiculous color, like purple. But since I can't have that I'll settle for those CO2 scrubbing bacteria that Justin is engineering to save us from ourselves. Thanks dood.

14 If you could force everyone in the world to digest any one form of media (album...book....movie...etc) what would it be?

The scary answer is the Bible. heehee. or actually worse, that book by L. Ron Hubbard (right? that scientology one?) - chills. Oo, hope I didn't offend anyone. Um, but seriously, I don't really know. People's viewpoints and the bases of their decision-making are so different, it probably wouldn't make a whole lot of difference in the world if everyone read Ishmael or something similar. So I guess I'd want everyone to at least have a laugh, and watch some of Eddie Izzard's stand-up comedy routines. : )

15 If you could go back in time and kill baby Hitler...Would You?

Absolutely no. You can't fuck around with history, man, no matter how shitty it was. Hasn't Star Trek taught us anything?

16 What's you obsession?

I would like to note at this point that Hank sent this survey to me before he sent it out to everyone we know so that I could edit it. And I TOLD him he needed to but that "r" in there, but apparently he LIKES spelling mistakes. Gah. Anyway, to answer the question... right now I'm watching every Whose Line is it Anyway? clip that exists on YouTube. I love that crap. But it changes over time. I'm also really into cross country skiing right now, 'cause I'm finally in Missoula for a winter when we have snow and it's awesome. And, I got a really nice digital piano for Christmas, so I'm playing with that a lot. But I'm not really obsessed with anything, except reading - I love to read.

Pretty hopeful actually, because what could be worse than what we have right now? Well, Mike Huckabee would be pretty bad, but there's really no scare there. I do hope that a Democrat gets elected. However, the whole election process is such a sham and that sucks ... I'm glad we don't have a television or newspaper subscription, because if we did I'm sure I'd be a lot more frustrated.

I don't remember the specific incident, but it had something to do with Viva Pinata. I was bouncing and squealing. That game is too adorable.

I don't have much faith in anything, really. I think I have more faith in individuals than in humanity as a whole, though.

Too many to choose from: Picking blueberries in Wareham, Mass near Grammie and Grampie's house. The time the big quahog we put in the refrigerator tried to escape - it was like 18 inches long. Curbball in the front yard in Danbury, sledding in the back yard, diving/front flips off the diving board in New Milford.

26 If you had to eat the same thing for dinner every day until you died...what would it be?

I don't think I could do it, but if I had to, I'd go with tacos, the way I make them at home. Oh yeah.

7) How long have you known Hank and Katherine?
I'm not sure I know myself, even now. What does it even mean to 'know someone'? Are we talkin' the biblical sense here? 'Cause if that's the case, I cannot answer this question in such a public-type forum. But I've been acquainted with Hank since August of 1998. He was a little bit thinner, his glasses were a little less hip, and he was wearing this horrible hat which I later found out had been given to him by a friend, after she found it lying in a ditch on the side of the road in Orlando. I hated that hat. I think he still has it though, the sentimental bastard.

8 What do you want from us?
I want a nickname like, but not, 'the Yeti' for B2.0. Also, a little more structure in our daily lives. And for me to finish my g.d. masters degree, before my self-loathing develops into some full-scale depression.

9 What have you been up to this past year (please be as detailed as possible, because we actually want to know)?
Oh 2006. The insanity - planning my own wedding while attending the weddings of brothers Jon (mine) and John (Hank's); traveling to and from said weddings (NH and Alabama); fostering and then adopting Cameo; volunteering at the Humane Society; saying goodbye to too many friends; getting in shape with a personal trainer; getting married in September and having the time of my life; going to Italy on the awesomest honeymoon ever; coming home and promptly getting out of shape and back in to my well-worn rut of do-nothing. Ah.

10 How much longer do you think you'll be doing what you're doing?
It's really hard to answer this-type question in a way that is humorous. Therefore I boycott this question.

11 Why are you doing it?
Because despite it all, I still like the idea of living, and because I love my friends and families.

12 What do you want to be doing?
Something meaningful and fun, which is also potentially lucrative, so I wouldn't feel like such a leech. Getting and staying in shape in fun ways (running does not count as fun - I'm thinking more like tap dance). Singing, dancing, and making art.

13 What's next in your life?
Graduating. Married life. Moving back east? A new job? My life is very much one big question mark at the moment.

14 How You Doin'?
Sigh.

15 What's the best book you read this year?
I may have read over a hundred books this year (I'm not sure if that's a lot, or if that number is accurate or not). Not all of them have been good, for sure, but my point is I can't really remember, because I don't make a list. But I think that the book I enjoyed reading the most (I'm not saying it's the best, because it didn't really change my life or anything) was Going Postal by Terry Prachett, and the book that made the biggest impression on me (I cried the most while reading it) was The Dance of the Dissident Daughter by Sue Monk Kidd. Stupid patriarchy.

16 Describe a perfect day.
The day after I successfully defend my masters thesis. As long as no one I love or care about in any way dies that day, I'm pretty sure it'll be the best day of my life so far. Looking forward to it.

17 Assuming that all things come to an end...how do you think humans will go extinct?
I really think it could be in a Dr. Strangelove kinda way. Otherwise, most of us will be killed off by massive famines and cancer and suchlike and those left over will (eventually) evolve into something else.

18 How are you feeling about kids these days?
I like my nephew quite a lot and I wish I could spend more time with him. I am completely ambivalent about other people's kids, unless they are screaming or whining and then I want to hurt them (not really, but I have very little patience). I really, really don't want any of my own right now. But maybe someday.

19 My own question: What is your favorite flower? I like different flowers in different seasons, but I really love bearded iris. Especially the yellow ones and the brown ones. Reminds me of my mom's gardens growing up in CT.

20 Ambrozzo tastes better than anything else, what does ambrozzo taste like?
Fresh baked baguette from Le Petit (still slightly warm) with Lifeline butter (free range/organic/local - yum!). Hells yes! Or cardamom ice cream from The Big Dipper. Oh, the cardamom. Hmm, good thing I'm not lactose intolerant, eh?

21 If you were a cliché, what cliché would you be?
"At the end of my rope" or "Nothing ventured, nothing gained."

22 What is your least favorite part of any given day?
The end of the day, when I realize that, once again, I have not made a damn bit of progress on finishing my degree. I really hate myself sometimes.

23 Do you enjoy science fiction?
Quite a bit, but I think I like fantasy better. Probably has something to do with my whole escapism problem.

24 Cheese or Chocolate?
While I really, really do enjoy cheese (esp. with wine), and pretty much any form it comes in, if I were presented with cheese and chocolate on the same plate (as long as it was dark chocolate, not really a fan of milk or white) and told to pick one or the other, I would definitely pick the chocolate every time. Sorry, Tillamook. (Aside: Tillamook would be a great name for a cat! My Cameo loves cheese, esp. Tillamook vintage white cheddar.)

25 Where would you live if you could live anywhere?
Here (Missoula), if all my friends and family were in accessible distance, not across the freakin' country. Or southern France, if I didn't care about family and friends. Oh, to be Provencal.

26 What was your first concert?
I think it's funny that everyone assumes this means concert they went to go see, because I think about concerts I performed in, which were happening long before I ever went to see someone else in concert. I did a lot of singing when I was younger. I also went to Broadway shows before I ever went to Radio 104 Fest, which was, I think my first Ticketmaster-type concert, and which featured The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, among other now obscure '90s artists.

27 If you could start a business that would be instantly successful, what kind of business would it be?
A punk rock diner? As long as I don't have to actually run it after it gets started up.

28 Invisibility or Time Travel?
I guess time travel, but neither really appeals to me. I'd rather have more practical magical talents.

my new favorite website is FUH2
mostly because i totally share the sentiment - it could do a lot better job on the educational side (the "poseur" argument is not the top one on my list of reasons for hating the vehicle - though the lameness of the H2 definitely has something to do with it). i've been giving the H2 the "double deuce" ever since it came out - why settle for an ace when a deuce is available? granted, an ace is easier to manage whilst riding ones bike ... safer, too.
i'm seriously considering purchasing the FUH2 poster. it's one of those photo montage things - 700 photos of people giving the H2 salute which, when combined in a specific way, form a (somewhat impressionistic) picutre of the H2 in yellow. the lamest color for the lamest of vehicles, of course.
so anyway, if you're part of the H2 hating club like me, send out that salute next time you see one in your town. i even do it in montana, where there's a good likelihood that the bozo driving the thing has a shotgun in the drivers seat. it's all worth it for freedom of expression, man.
